| Challenge: |
My Favorite Things came to us for help expanding into web sales, but during the course of this project, the store's point-of-sale system died and the vendor reneged on their support contract.

| Solution: |
We built not only an online store, but also a new point-of-sale system (touch-screen, receipt printer, cash drawer) using 100% open source applications to ensure that closed source, vendor support headaches will be only a memory. As an added bonus, the store enjoyed an estimated savings of $1,600 in software costs. More recently, we've added a wireless network to facilitate online store management and custom audio wiring to allow Internet radio and iTunes playlists to be streamed through the store's stereo system.
My Favorite Things is a great example that Linux is ready for retail.
